Former Member of Parliament, and Corporate Affairs Leader Anne Marie Morris is a highly regarded geopolitical risk adviser, with extensive experience navigating the complexities of global crises. She specialises in the complexities of global regulatory frameworks, trade, and emerging technologies, particularly for sectors such as Fintech, financial services, energy and life sciences. With a career that spans politics, corporate strategy, and international law, Anne Marie offers a unique perspective to multinational corporations navigating geopolitical uncertainties and regulatory challenges. As a Member of Parliament (2010-2024), Anne Marie led national and international inquiries on critical geopolitical issues, including economic sanctions, defence cooperation, crypto assets, and the regulatory impacts of Brexit. Serving on key Select Committees, she provided oversight on Russian financial sanctions, advised on the UK’s post-Brexit trade and security agreements, and scrutinised government responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anne Marie’s work extended into life sciences, MedTech and health. She chaired several national and international inquiries into the regulation of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, post Covid international co-operation, and on patient access to medicines, areas where digital finance solutions are becoming critical in addressing global healthcare challenges.  With the National Centre for Rural Health and Care she chaired a three-year groundbreaking inquiry into rural health and care barriers and opportunities endorsed by the UK Chief Medical Officer.

Anne Marie is a graduate of the prestigious Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS), where she specialised in national security, defence diplomacy, and geopolitical strategy. Her studies focused on contemporary global conflicts, cybersecurity threats, and hybrid warfare, giving her a solid foundation to advise clients on defence risks and international cooperation. Her RCDS training is complemented by her hands-on experience with government relations, where she influenced policy development in defence, trade, and foreign relations.

In the corporate world, Anne Marie has held senior positions as Global Marketing Director at Linklaters, Ernst & Young, and at PwC, where she led international growth strategies and crisis management efforts. Her work as a senior corporate and asset finance lawyer has included advising on high-profile mergers, international transactions, and corporate governance across Europe and Asia.

Anne Marie’s deep understanding of global markets and regulatory frameworks allows her to advise corporations on mitigating risks tied to political instability, economic sanctions compliance, regulatory uncertainty, environmental and health risks and defence policies.
